 Anthem Capital is headquartered in the Locust Point neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland, the home to Fort McHenry and the birthplace of the National Anthem. Since it raised its first fund in 1997, a $40 million SBIC, Anthem has added two partner level professionals and opened two new offices. Today, Anthem manages over $100 million.

Though we have grown, Anthem maintains its belief that early-stage investing is not a scaleable business. Rather it requires focus and active involvement. Therefore, we have organized our investment capabilities so we can best focus on the key economic centers within our region, the Baltimore-Washington corridor, the Greater Philadelphia market and the Greater Pittsburgh market. We also apply a focused strategy by targeting those industries that comprise the core entrepreneurial and emerging growth opportunities in the region (IT/telecom and healthcare/life sciences) and by building a team with backgrounds and experiences that are closely aligned with these target segments.
