Bill Gust
has 40 years of business experience with a strong emphasis on venture
capital investing and the development of small rapidly growing businesses.
During the past 25 years, he has invested successfully in a broad
range of start-up and early stage companies all over the United States,
including such companies as Apple Computer, Samna (Lotus Corporation’s
word processor), HealthSouth and Chuck E. Cheese. Mr. Gust received
his Bachelors Degree from Northwestern University.

Xander
Perry

Xander Perry joined the Anthem team in 1998 and has over 15 years business
experience with emphasis on telecommunications, information technology and venture capital investing.
Before joining Anthem, Mr. Perry worked with Advent International in Boston where he assisted with the
private equity firm's investments in energy and technology companies. Prior to his career in venture
capital Mr. Perry designed and implemented software systems and telecommunications solutions for MCI,
BellSouth and other Fortune 500 companies. He spent four years with Andersen Consulting (Accenture)
where he was aligned with the firm’s IT/telecom and Telecommunications industry groups. Mr. Perry
acquired his MBA from the Wharton School of Business and his Bachelors Degree from Emory University.

Gerry
Schaafsma

Gerry Schaafsma has over 20 years of business experience, including
venture capital investing, start-up management, engineering and Wall
Street banking. He joined Anthem in 1997, and opened the Philadelphia
office. Prior to joining Anthem, he acquired direct operating experience
as the CEO of Image PSL. He also gained VC experience with Johnston
Associates and Massey Burch where he directed over 15 companies, including
PhyCor and Corporate Childcare Services. Mr. Schaafsma is on the Board
of Directors for the Greater Philadelphia Venture Group and was the
Chairman of the 2002-2003 program year. He received his MBA from Harvard
and his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Illinois.

Ed
Spiva

Ed Spiva has over 35 years of business experience with an emphasis on finance,
strategic planning and early-stage investing. Before he joined Anthem, Mr. Spiva spent 22 years in
banking where he served as CFO, acquired three banks, directed six mergers, and led the development the country's
largest electronic banking network. Mr. Spiva also served on the Board of Directors for the Baltimore
Development Corporation (BDC) where he managed the City's venture capital fund. Mr. Spiva received his BS in
Accounting from Virginia Tech and passed the CPA exam in Virginia.
